Samsung Selected by NTT East to Build Private 5G Networks in Japan

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced today the company has been selected by NTT East, to jointly expand the private 5G network business in Japan, helping to support the buildout of secure dedicated networks for various enterprises. Samsung and NTT East will begin providing commercial private 5G network services to enterprise customers starting in the second quarter of this year.

Palo Alto Networks Tackles Managed SASE Migraines

Palo Alto Networks this week introduced a series of managed service provider (MSP)-focused updates targeted at expanding its networking and security empire, and eliminating barriers to adoption. They include a hierarchical multi-tenant dashboard and open APIs designed to help operators automate secure access service edge (SASE) deployment and management.

CommScope alters course on DOCSIS 4.0

Sources say CommScope has halted a plan to develop a DOCSIS 4.0 chipset and architecture for network gear in partnership with MaxLinear and Xilinx. The decision could cede the network side of the D4.0 market to Broadcom.
