Juniper Networks former CTO Bikash Koley is set to leave the company and will be replaced by Raj Yavatkar. The networking company first announced Koley’s resignation in a Nov. 27 SEC filing. It said Koley would remain in his current role until Jan. 3.
The company did not mention Koley in a press statement nor in an emailed statement sent to SDxCentral: “Mr. Yavatkar is anticipated to join the Juniper team in December, and we look forward to his technical thought leadership and vision as he helps us lead the next era of innovation at Juniper,” it said.
Yavatkar will report to Juniper CEO Rami Rahim.
Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison said the company would not name a new co-CEO to replace the late Mark Hurd and instead will move forward with Safra Catz as its sole leader.
Ellison made the announcement during the company’s second quarter 2020 earnings call with financial analysts. Hurd passed away in October just weeks after taking a leave of absence from the company for health reasons.
“We have no plans for having a second CEO,” Ellison said, according to a Seeking Alpha transcript of the call. “It was an unusual situation where Mark and Safra were an absolutely fantastic team. But we have complete confidence in our existing management team. We’re doing a lot of recruiting and you’ll see a lot of announcements … that we’re hiring a bunch of people at the next layer down. Those people will be the next CEO when both Safra and I retire, which is not anytime soon.”
Tibco announced the appointment of Scott Roza as president and global head of customer operations.
Jason Shepherd joined Zededa as VP of ecosystem. Shepherd previously served as CTO for Dell Technologies Edge and IoT services.
DataStax welcomed former CEO of Cloud Foundry Sam Ramji as CSO.
Container security company NeuVector named Stephanie Fohn as president and CEO where she will also serve on the board of directors. Fohn replaces NeuVector co-founder Fei Huang who will become CSO for the company. Fohn most recently served as president and CEO of Rundeck.
Balbix appointed former Bitglass executive Rich Campagna as CMO. Prior to Bitglass, Campagna held senior leadership roles in product management at F5 Networks and Juniper Networks.
Data intelligence company Collibra announced former DataStax SVP customer success Madan Gadde as chief customer officer (CCO). Gadde will be responsible for building out the organization and vision for the post-sales function.
VMware named Jean-Pierre Brulard to EVP of worldwide sales effective Feb. 1. Brulard replaces Maurizio Carli who will transition from his operational role to a new formal position as a go-to-market strategic advisor.
Risto Siilasmaa stepped down from the Nokia board of directors and is succeeded by Vice Chair Sari Baldauf who will serve as the new chair of the board.
Nokia’s current chief human resources officer Hans-Jürgen Bill announced he will step down effective in May. Stephanie Werner will succeed Bill as chief human resources officer and join the the Nokia group leadership team.
Forcepoint welcomed former Oracle VP of North America customer services Lisa Schreiber to the newly-created chief customer success officer role.
Edge computing startup Pensando hired Frank Palumbo as its first CRO. Palumbo will lead Pensando’s field operations and oversee all sales, systems engineering, and strategic partnership initiatives.
Marty Edwards joined Tenable as VP of operational technology security following its acquisition of industrial security leader Indegy. Edwards will serve as an evangelist for the company’s operational technology security vision and report to the office of the CTO.
Kaloom appointed Richard McGinn as board chairman.
Everspin Technologies named Yong Kim VP of product development.
The Volkswagen Group’s Car.Software organization announced its board of management, consisting of Christian Senger as CEO, Frank Rösler as CFO, and Björn Goerke as CTO.
Technology intelligence provider Snow Software welcomed Paula Darvell to her new role as CMO following former CMO Sanjay Castelino’s appointment to CPO.
Yellowbrick Data named former IBM, Oracle, and VMware executive Jeff Spicer as CMO.
IT strategic service provider InterVision appointed Mike Shea as AVP of cloud services. Shea most recently served as managing director and CTO for the Health and Human Services business unit of Accenture Products and Platforms.
Former Tesla executive Susan Repo joined MariaDB as the company’s first COO. In her new role, Repo will oversee the company’s business operations as it moves to deliver on new product innovations.
Lightfield hardware and content services provider Leia announced the appointment of Benjamin Lui as its head of hardware products.
IoT platform provider Particle welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Liz Tinkham, who was formerly managing director at Accenture; Carlos Kokron, current VP at Qualcomm and managing director for the Americas at Qualcomm Ventures; and Sameer Reddy, who is a partner at Energy Impact Partners.
Low-code IT automation and orchestration provider AppViewX announced Gregory Webb as its CEO and member of the company’s board of directors. Webb will replace Ryan Windham, who will remain an advisor for the company. AppViewX also announced a number of executive appointments, including: Mike Gregoire as executive chairman of the board; Anil Arora as CFO; and Larry Biagini as a board advisor.
VMware User Group (VMUG) welcomed its new board of directors for 2020:
