7 Layers: What SolarWinds Learned From Supply Chain Attack

Nancy Liu: Hello, and welcome to this episode of the 7 Layers podcast. I am Nancy Liu, editor with SDxCentral. As many of you already know, SolarWinds became a household name after a massive supply chain attack first publicly reported in 2020. Today, we are joined by Rohini Kasturi, chief product and development officer at SolarWinds, to talk about its lessons learned from the Sunburst attack and ongoing innovations. Liu: Hey Rohini, could you tell us a little bit about yourself? Rohini Kasturi: Sure, Nancy. So, I’m the chief product officer at SolarWinds. So I’m [in] the product organization, which is product management, engineering, product marketing, strategic alliances, and all product functions for SolarWinds. And I’ve been in the software industry for the last 25 years or so. Most recently, I was a chief product officer at one of the security companies called Pulse Secure and that’s where I work with the current CEO Sudhakar Ramakrishna.
